Description apksr 2001-08-28 08:52:44 UTC
Install binary 638 on debain testing, kernel 2.4.x,
JAVA2/1.3.1, and mozilla 0.93 installed in home
directory.

When opening splash screen comes up to chose address
book database if mozilla is selected the program
crashes when I hit the next button.

After further testing found that if I selected
Edit -> Database Exchange; and clicked on addresses
the program crashed and gave the following error:

************
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load native library: libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No
such file or directory
********************

After I softlinked all of the java libraries to /usr/lib
the program doesn't crash but nothing happens if I select
addresses. If I select biblio the define button comes on,
and the program doesn't crash.

Crashes in windows too. In databases address is set to JDBC

Ocke should have a look at this and see if it's a problem with our
JDBC-SDBC bridge or OOo's virtual machine.

Hello Alvin,

the fixes are in the files in dba/connectivity/source/drivers/jdbc/*
I accessed the java engine whitout checking against NULL.

Ocke
