On Solaris 2.7 (Dual UltraSparc; all current patches) in csh
under CDE:

% scalc local_file.s[dx]c 
pops the openoffice logo and a can't open file at 
///...program60/local_file.s[xd]c message. 
after clicking on "ok" scalc either hangs or aborts

There was a problem in OO633 while trying to open a file for which 
you haven't read access. This problem is fixed in OO638. So check the 
rights of the special file and retry with OO638.
