Description Unknown 2003-05-07 17:14:21 UTC
When I type in my company name during install:

Converse Co School Dist #1

after install everything after "Dist" is dropped. I can enter the #1 after
install in the Options box and it remains, but it is consistently dropped from
the install user info screen. I have noted this on Win98 and Win2000. Granted
this isn't a showstopper, but ...

Hi Jörg,
if you have a '#' e.g. in the company name it will not be shown in the
userdata under Tools | Options. As described by Chris, this is not a
showstopper. I don't know what else depends on this, so if you think
this is not a candidate for RC we should change the target.

Hi Dirk,

I can't imagine this to be a problem in the configuration database (or
else it would not work with Tools - Options either).

The problem must be either in the User Info dialog itself or in the
transfer of this data from there to the configuration.
Comment 3 dirk.voelzke 2003-05-14 14:30:32 UTC
The setup doesn't strip the '#' and the configuration keeps it, too.
