Description Flags
An OOo Impress presentation containing only a formula (OOo1.1beta)
none
Only one formula, grey background none

Description pratesi 2003-04-27 09:54:24 UTC
On Impress, formulas are not shown, even if the slide contains only a formula.
I'm using the precompiled binary, I run it on MDK 9.1, the problem occurs
also without font replacement and with default fonts and font size.

OK, done.

> maybe this issue is duplicate to issue 13339.

I'm not using msoffice at all, I'm using *only* OOo Impress.
Steps to reproduce the bug:

- start an empty new presentation

- insert a formula (E = m c^2 in the attachment)

- now you have a presentation containing only a formula;
  ask for the "slide show" (full-screen); the formula is not shown.

I'm using OOo 1.1beta on MDK Linux 9.1, but there is the same
problem also on mswinxp.

I can reproduce the bug.
It is not duplicate to issue 13339

Only one formula, grey background
Comment 8 pratesi 2003-04-30 18:46:03 UTC
In the latest submitted attachment, I have used a grey background
rather that a white background; this way, it is evidenced that
the formula *is* shown, but, alas, its characters ar shown as white
and not as black.

BTW, I am reading that the "Target Milestone" is indicated as OOo 2.0
... shouldn't this bug be fixed for OOo 1.1 stable?

Well, if it just the color it should simplify the solution! This is one of
the most important features for science/math people I definintely
think it should not wait for OOo2.0.

I agree and changed target

I can't reproduce this in an srx645m2 anymore, please verify

1.1 Beta2 is no more affected by this bug; IMO this bug report
can be closed (I'm marking it as "FIXED").

BTW, on the first beta, the problem can be workarounded using
color black{E = m c^2}
instead of simply
E = m c^2

Thank you,

Marco Pratesi
