SBA: Reassigned to Bettina from the User Experience team for consideration. confirmed *** Issue 39073 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 62149 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 29931 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 63245 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** *** Issue 74487 has been marked as a duplicate of this issue. *** this bug is valid for all components (swriter, impress, ...). you can't insert multiple images or files which is a bit annoying when treating a lot of file. In Writer, you can by drag and drop if the style for Graphics has been designed with the anchoring set to 'As Character'. But order of the files is wrong, see this other issue 78111. Which has been closed rather quickly. This is indeed a much needed feature for professional workers: both the add multiple documents and add multiple images (or other file types) feature. Please note, that Adobe InDesign CS3 does support this: see http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/features/allfeatures *Be more productive* Heading, *Multi-file Place* Speed up document creation by importing multiple files at once from within InDesign or by dragging them in from the desktop or Adobe Bridge. Preview selected files as you place them in any order or location in your layout. See also the flash presentation. This is really a nice feature. A small omission in my last post (sorry for this). The information for Adobe InDesign is in: see http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/features/allfeatures *Be more productive* Heading, *Productive layout features* <--- FORGOT THIS *Multi-file Place* The flash demo is here: http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/features/ After the short flash intro, click on *Show All* and watch the demo (the feature is the first or second presented, but all features are interesting). Though it is assigned to "Wordprocessor" this is a general issue. I just don't want to change the component as all votes would get lost then. Reset assigne to the default "issues@openoffice.apache.org". |
