In the attached document, I have Times New Roman writing emerging, and the 
background is Gradient 3.

Apart from being very slow... (see other issues) :)

there is a white border of antialiasing around the characters.
this doesn't look very nice.

I'm using Windows 2000, with font smoothing (built-in).

I can reproduce the bug.
please have a look if it's the same like the internal bug 108521.

Verified in cws_draw9 on Win 2000, Win xp.

I tested the integration of the fix in the latest internal version.
The bugfix will be integrated in OOo 1.1 Beta2.

Please reopen the issue if the bug still occures in the OOo 1.1 Beta.
