Description alex.thurgood 2003-03-21 10:25:11 UTC
Hi,

It appears that pasting copied content into writer doesn't work any more in the
beta 1.1 stable that I downloaded from the dk sunsite. Neither via menu
Edit>Paste nor using the Ctrl-V key. In the menu, the Paste command is greyed
out even when content has been selected and copied.

Having said that, maybe the issue is with copying. If the program doesn't know
that content has been copied, the Paste command isn't usually available, so
maybe it's flag/signal problem.

System : Linux Mandrake 9.0, OOo beta 1.1, various window managers.

Further info : looking through the install log, the file
dltransX11644li.so wasn't registered.

I downloaded the whole thing again from the sunsite.dk ftp mirror,
reinstalled, and now copy/paste works in writer. I'll change this to
resolved.

Wait a minute ;) , did U try same thing as I am (issue 11096) ?
Copy-Paste between mozilla and writer (1.0.2, 1.1 beta) doesn't work
OK.It's pretty crappy.
SO can you reproduce next thing ?
Example:
goto freshmeat.net (use mozilla), Edit->Select All->Copy , and then
Paste it into Writer.
Does it work?

Small amount of data (few lines) works, but if I try to paste few web
pages it freezes OO and sometimes X have to be restarted.
