I cannot confirm this. When I set Word97 as default file type in the Options, it is correctly pre-selected in the Save-as dialog. I would request you to fully de-install OOo, delete the config folder in c:\documents and settings\ and re-install it. When .doc is set as default document, the default document type in the Save As dialog will be ".doc" *for every new document created*. When loading *existing* document of other type than .doc, the default will be the current format in which the loaded document has been saved. Enhancement: implement an option "Default format for existing documents". Reassigned to Requirements |
