The example .sxd file, select the simple equation and export to wmf, insert this
wmf in word and it doesn't display the line between the x and y.

Hi Caolan,
I think this is no bug, because the line (in reality its a filled 
rectangle) is still there. In Word you only need to set a zoom factor 
of above 150%, then the line will be visible. And if you still think 
this is a bug, then the bug should go to Microsoft or the person who 
is initially generating this thin rectangle.

Ah!, good that's fine by me. I didn't realize it would reappear on
different zoom levels. I'll close it.
