when u open an arabic document, the document name that appears in the title is
boxes instead of the name of the document

i believe this is a font problem ie. the font doesnt support arabic

Under "Tools - Options - -StarOffice - Fonts", replace "Andale Sans 
UI" by a font that support Arabic and check this in OOo 1.1 Beta1
