I'm also having a the same problem, I have Windows 98, and I do have a Java runtime. Not all programs crash, some just hang in the splash screen (same problem as decribed in Issuezilla #1103). I have >128Mb or RAM and the machine is running a Celeron 400Mhz. TM->OF: Here`s another one for you. Believe it or not, I don't have this problems (some may think it's my standard answer). I can start swriter.exe, sweb.exe, sdraw.exe, scalc.exe, smath.exe without any error message. I don't think it should matter but is it possible to add more RAM to your machine and try again (off topic: if you would like to spend a little money and buy another 128MB for you computer you won't think that it's still the same box you're working on)? My computer has a single stick with 128 MB so i can't split it:-( If OO is working with 128MB it's a bug in OO. Not reproducible, no answer -> so i will close this issue.
