Using OpenOffice 643c with CTL Support, and writing in Arabic seems to have few
probelms, related to displaying the ZWNJ character. The ZWNJ (U+200C) is used
after the ligature LAM_ALEF in Arabic. In OpenOffice it displays an empty box
after the ligature, or some time time over it, depending on the font. Strangly
the probelm did not show in all fonts, but it did with most of the fonts what
work fine with other applications such as Mozilla. Fonts that caused the probelm
include Tahoma and Arial and may others (imported from Windows).

Fixed in recent 644 builds. 
I have no idea when 644 will get out.

I am using OpenOffice 1.1 Beta 2, and this shaping issue is no longer
present .. it is resolved indeed.
