It is common for applications that attempt to fit into the OS X environment to provide user interface with a 
gradient lighter-gray to darker-gray background that extends from the top of the window (including the 
title bar) to the bottom of the main toolbar.  I am attaching a screenshot illustrating this.

Adding this graphical change to OpenOffice on OS X would make a huge difference as to how native the 
program feels on the platform.

My apologies, please ignore the previous crash report.  That was intended for
another bug.  The OpenOffice issue tracker seems to like moving me from one bug
to another after I submit an update.
