Set to new. Can you please write a step by step description of your actions until the bug occurs ? Thanks in advance! Start with new presentation. Make grid visible and check grid-resolution under Tools/Options/Presentation/Grid. Create new presentation, change grid-resolution and click OK. Switch to first presention. Grid-resolution will get changed when you enter Options now. Thanks for your description. The actual behaviour is not a bug. If no impress is open at the moment changings of the grid in the tools/options/presentation dialog will have a standard setting effect. When changing the settings while an impress doc is open the settings are changed for the actual document and for all in the future. I know that this concept is not simple to use, do you have an idea how this could be handled better? Looking forward to your answer... Thank you for your explanation. But I would still call it a bug. The options that are in efect for my document must be the same I see in Options dialog. Just opening Options dialog and clicking OK should never alter anything. Grid-resolution gets already saved with file. Options dialog should use settings of the now open file when there is one. The way software like Cubase, QuarkXpress and many others handle this: Global settings are set with no open file. Global settings are default for all future new files. Changing settings with open file changes settings only for that one file. Thanks for your thoughts about this. I change the type to "Enhancement" and reassign it to Bettina. Reassigned. Cheers. Lowering Issue priority... From: http://qa.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddIssues_EnterModify.html#priority P2 - Marks severe problems which affect a significant number of customers. Issues with this priority must be fixed before the target release ... and should be dealt with as soon as possible. Not fixing them for the target release is not acceptable. To grep the issues easier via "requirements" I put the issues currently lying on my owner to the owner "requirements". |
